This concert is a meeting of two generations of Brazilian jazz on one stage. The musical encounter features Filó Machado, one of Brazil's best-known jazz musicians, whose music is being replicated by musicians from all over the world. He meets his pupil and successor, Adriano Trindade. The concert promises to be an intimate evening of duets, with the cosy and intoxicating rhythms of Brazilian music.
About the performers:
Filó Machado - between 13 solo albums and countless concerts in 30 countries around the world in the last year alone, he has collaborated with artists such as Michel Legrand, Jon Hendricks, Kenny Barron, Hermeto Paschoal, John Patitucci, Djavan, SWR Big Band Stuttgart, and many more.
Adriano Trindade is currently based in Berlin and is considered a pioneer of samba and rock on the European continent and one of the most important representatives of Brazilian jazz worldwide. He has performed in 56 countries around the world, both in jazz clubs and at renowned festivals such as Ronnie Scott in London, North Sea Jazz in Amsterdam, 38 Riv in Paris and Prague Jazz Festival in the Czech Republic.
